No news is good news

Well- because no one has given me any new family information this is going to be a boring one. The bris video has been put on hold due to a large workload. But it is progressing.....
So today's interesting news is dedicated to my mom:
First of all congratulations on the resignation of Donald Rumsfeld.
Secondly I just wanted to let her know that since I moved into my new place I have made my bed every day!!!!

Vach Nacht

We are slowly making our way toward the bris video. Here is the video of vach nacht the night before the bris. Clearly these videos are not my best work and are not to be considered part of my professional repertoire.

P.S. Nobody has volunteered any information about their families! This is going to become a very boring blog!

Back to School

A big congratulations to Judah on obtaining a job. He will now be teaching Torah Sheb'aal peh (Oral Law) to 8th grade girls at our alma mater- HAFTR. I hope he has a little bit better experience than last year's job and the kids don't have as much attitude.

Just as we remember it!

MENUCHA V'SIMCHA

WE HAVE A NAME! The new baby's name is Simcha. If we all thought just a little bit harder we probably could have guessed it. There is a song called Menucha V'Simcha. So maybe this is Judah and Chaya's way of being a little bit cheeky. The baby was also named for Chaya's great uncle who died in the war. Judah performed the bris himself and did an outstanding job- believe me I saw the footage. It is not for the faint of heart. The baby is doing great. He was eating and pooping right after the procedure and he looks good. I will be working on a bris video and would love to post it here but I don't know how- so if any of you readers know how to post video without going through youtube please let me know.
Judah, Chaya, Menucha and Simcha will be leaving on Thursday for Florida and will return at a later date.
I just want to mention that Chaya's grandfather was present for the bris and there were four generations of Chaya's family in the room. It really was a special event.
Below are some pictures of the bris- I am not posting the graphic ones in case Simcha becomes President one day.

Not to be Outdone

Yes, the new baby arrived this week but because this blog started today we need to retroactively update stories.
On July 31, 2006 the Fish Family also welcomed Jonah Gabriel (Yisroel Meir). He is also very beautiful and his big brother Jacob takes very good care of him- especially when he helps burp him.
Hopefully Jonah and the new baby will be great friends as Menucha and Jacob certainly are. This morning Menucha was a bit cranky because she missed her mommy, who was still in the hospital, and as she lay in bed drinking her bottle- she asked for Jacob. They are two holy terrors when they are together. So if you volunteer to babysit ask for a lot of money.

Jonah on the day he was born!

Inaugural Post

Welcome to the Fish Family Blog. This blog is replacing the Fish Family newsletter, which was in much need of updating.....
We will start the blog off with a bang and wish a Mazel Tov to Judah and Chaya on the birth of their yet to be named baby boy. He was born at 10:13pm on Monday, October 9, 2006. He was 8lbs. 8 oz. A big bruiser- as my mother would say! Mom and baby are doing very well and he is SOOOO cute. Right now it is hard to tell who he looks like, but it's not important because he is beautiful.
The bris will take place at 8 am at Saba and Grammy's house. A special mohel is being imported for the event and I hear he puts on a good show.
Below is a picture of the tike... judge for yourself who he looks like. Leave your comments in the comment area...
